5 Milan + 6 Juve = Gli Azzurri


Italy starting XI against Malta in a World Cup 2014 Qualifiers just filled with players from two different clubs. AC Milan contributed five names, while the remaining six are from Juventus.

Italy won 2-0 victory during a visit to Malta, on Wednesday (27/03/2013) pm dawn earlier. Two Azzurri winning goal of the match Mario Balotelli hired.

There are interesting facts left out of the game. In the list of players derived starter Cesare Prandelli, 11 players were down in the first minute only from two clubs namely Milan and Juventus.

Besides Balotelli, Rossoneri 'donate' Ignazio Abate, Mattia De Sciglio, Riccardo Montolivo and Stephan El Shaarawy. While the Bianconeri represented by Gianluigi Buffon, Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci, Claudio Marchisio, Andrea Pirlo and Emanuele Giaccherini.

Italian squad in the second round to become more diverse as Antonio Candreva (Lazio) entry into the field as a substitute Giaccherini. There was also Alberto Gilardino (Bologna) as a replacement for Balotelli and Alessio Cerci (Torino), which replace the position of El Shaarawy.

There are only two players from different clubs on the pitch while playing Azzurri is not the first time that happened. A similar situation occurred in 1977, when it was in the second round in a match with Belgium only Juventus and Torino players on the field.
